Forest Kindergarten / Forest School Introduction
Join us for an enriching 8-week introduction to our microschool, designed specifically for children aged 3 to 11 who thrive in an outdoor environment that fosters choice and curiosity. This unique program blends small group play with nature-based learning through play, allowing children to explore and grow in a supportive setting.
Throughout the program, children will transition to more complex play, develop personal independence, and enhance their social skills through collaboration. Our approach emphasizes emerging cognitive abilities, encouraging inquiry-based and project-based learning. We believe that play is the most effective way for children to learn, and our facilitators step in only when necessary to guide their exploration.
With a commitment to small group sizes, we maintain a 6:1 ratio of forest mentors or better, ensuring that each child receives personalized attention. This allows our educators to implement child-centered learning approaches and focus on fostering social and communication skills among peers.
